Role – Purpose:
· To provide opportunities for community education and information on Property Standards and how proper enforcement contributes to better neighbourhoods and maintains property values.

· To work with City Councillors to advocate for positive changes in by-laws and policies and to improve on present enforcement of these by-laws such, as “Rooming Houses” and “Multiple Apartments” with absentee landlords etc.
· To work in positive relationships with other Downtown Committees, such as Barrie Downtown Business Association (BIA), Historical Neighbourhood Strategies, and Social Agencies to strive for a healthy, safe, economically thriving city center.
· To enrich the natural environment by encouraging the preservation, growth and use of outdoor assets.
